Professional HJZ laser cleaning systems

More precise cleaning. Less waste. More control.

Remove rust, oxides, paint, oil, and other surface contaminants without abrasive media or chemical baths. Choose a 100–500 W pulsed system for precision work or 1–3 kW continuous wave equipment for large areas.

  • Test your part before choosing
  • Impulse versions 2, 5, 10, and 15 mJ

Why laser cleaning?

Less preparation and waste – more manageable results

The laser operates only on the selected surface area. The process can be repeated with saved parameters, automated, and adapted for both single parts and mass production.

01

Be abrasive media

There is no need to constantly buy sand, shot, or other cleaning granules. Only process-collected sediment and maintenance filters remain.

02

Contacting process

The tool does not press the part mechanically. This is especially important for shapes, edges, precise areas, and valuable surfaces.

03

Dry and local cleaning

There is no chemical bath or water wash. Only the seam, mark, tool location, or other specific area can be cleaned.

04

Repeatable parameters

Power, scanning, frequency, and pulse can be controlled. The tested process is easier to repeat and integrate into production.

Method Comparison

When does a laser create the most value?

Each cleaning method has its place. Laser cleaning is particularly attractive when cleanliness, selectivity, reduced waste, and process repeatability are important.

Evaluation criterion
Laser cleaning
Sandblasting
Chemistry / Mechanics
Process materials
Low process consumables; protective glass and filters are maintained.
Abrasive media is always needed.
Chemicals, discs, brushes, or other tools.
Accuracy
Large – the selected area can be processed and parameters adjusted.
Good for large areas, harder to insulate a small zone.
It depends heavily on the operator and method.
Secondary waste
The most removed layer collected by the extraction.
Layer removed along with the used medium and dust.
Contaminated liquids or used mechanical means.
Reproducibility
Parameters can be saved, documented, and automated.
Depends on the pressure, medium, angle, and operator.
It often depends heavily on manual labor.

A laser does not eliminate safety precautions. A controlled work area, adequate smoke and particle extraction, eye and face protection matched to specific wavelengths and modes, and a trained operator are required.

Three equipment directions for different work paces

The pulsed 300 W and 500 W systems can be supplied with different pulse energy versions – 2, 5, 10, or 15 mJ. For CW models, mJ does not apply.

Energy impulse choice

What practically do 2, 5, 10, and 15 mJ change?

mJ indicates the energy of a single pulse, rather than the total laser power. A higher mJ value generally ensures a stronger single-pulse effect, but the most optimal parameters are selected by practically testing the process with your part.

2 mJ

Greatest accuracy

Smaller surfaces, thin layers, fine details, restoration, precise areas for shapes and tools.

5 mJ

Gentle versatility

Light oxidation, thin coating, various maintenance tasks, and situations requiring control at a higher pace.

10 mJ

Universal labor power

Average corrosion, paint, preparation of welding zones, and a broader spectrum of everyday industrial tasks.

15 mJ

Faster pace

Layers and larger areas, when a stronger pulsed effect is desired but CW thermal load is not preferred.

Higher mJ doesn't always mean a better result. The effect is also altered by frequency, pulse duration, beam size, scanning speed, and overlap. The result of the same mJ version may differ between different sources and settings.

Selection by job

Which system is best suited for your task?

Below is a clear starting point for consultation. The final configuration will be confirmed with a representative sample.

Job description Recommended direction Why What to check in the sample
Restoration, valuable or sensitive details HJZ 300 W pulse · 2–5 mJ Maximum process control and less single pulse impact. Completely removes the layer without altering the base's appearance or texture.
Forms, tools, precise local zones HJZ 300 W pulsed · 2–10 mJ Mobility, precise scanning area, and a wide range of tasks. Changes in edges, scratches, polished areas, and functional surface.
Auto parts and general mobile services HJZ 300 W pulsed · 5–15 mJ Easier to coordinate mobility, process control, and work pace. The speed of paint and corrosion removal, the heating of the sheet metal, and the final result.
Industrial maintenance, serial work, larger formats HJZ 500 W pulsed · 10–15 mJ Greater efficiency while maintaining the selectivity of pulsed technology. Real performance increase versus 300 W, duty cycle, and surface acceptance criteria.
Large structures, thick rust or coatings HJZ 1500 W CW High sustained power and performance in a large, heat-resistant area. Thermal impact, fire risk, smoke emission, cooling, and working pace.
Large area, but the base is sensitive to heat HJZ 500 W pulse · 15 mJ Compromise between higher performance and less heat buildup than CW. At an impulse pace, is it economically sufficient, and does the foundation remain unchanged?.

Complete system, not just the laser source

A reliable result starts with the right configuration

The electrical input, head and lenses, optics purging, cooling, extraction, and operator protection must be selected together with the laser.

  • Laser source and cleaning head
  • Lenses and protective covers
  • Cooling and air conditioning
  • Smoke and particle extraction
  • Safety zone and interlocks
  • Operator training and service

The best choice test - your detail

Send photos of the object, a description of the layer to be removed, approximate area, and desired outcome. We will compare the most suitable W and mJ directions and propose a complete system configuration.

The provided selection guidelines are indicative. The actual performance and surface finish depend on the material, coating, geometry, laser source, optics, and process parameters. The workstation must be evaluated from the perspective of laser safety, occupational hygiene, fire, electrical, and extraction.
